I'm kind of shocked. It's been a long time since I stumbled on a group of Mandos I didn't know existed.

I'm Kalira. Solus...I gather you were Solus on Sola'lor's old forum, back before he threw a hissyfit and all hell broke loose? I don't think we ever spoke that much, but I think we sort of lost track of a lot of people in the shuffle over to the new site. Anyway...Sol reopened his old forum temporarily (in order to sell it, wtf), and I took the opportunity to go poking around looking for people we lost contact with.

Definitely didn't expect to find an entire forum, though.

Hey, Kalira. Yeah, that was me. I was never really around much, never really got to know too many people there so that's why I started this place. Figured it was easier to attract the not-so-crazy Mando types (like Sol) if I had my own place to run. You're welcome to stick around, as you can probably tell there aren't too many members here. Really I just hope for this place to be a way to make friends who are also fellow Mandos, nothing fancy. Glad you found it.

I intend to, and you're certainly welcome to ours. MavJorad is my..."home" forum, I guess you'd say, but I maintain active membership on several other Mando-related sites. I've been along long enough to recognize that one of the things that crippled my aliit in the past was the lack of contact with the community. It's good for the various forums to keep in touch with each other, and even overlap.

I saw your thread about an aliit, by the way. If you guys do make one, let me know and I'll toss up a subforum for it on the other site, we try to make sure each clan has one.

EDIT: Lol, I'm an idiot. I should mention that regardless of the specific forum, there's a pretty massive Skyperoom we all hang out in. You're welcome in that, too.

Mind you, nothing wrong with not being in an aliit. We've got a bunch of unaffiliated Mandos around. Sometimes it's best to just worry about being a good Mando yourself without adding on the extra trouble of worrying about whether your aliit'vode are being good mandos too.

This is true. That's why I'm not spending a lot of time trying to recruit, but I have the area up there in case anyone is interested in starting or joining an aliit.
