As a member of another message board I joined an aliit with a few other members but we were never very active. I don't think I would appoint myself aliit'alor of a new clan, but is there anyone out there who would be interested in joining a new clan? We would need a clan name, and maybe a symbol. I would hope that even if it was a small clan that we would then become closer, even if we live in different states or continents! I'm open to suggestions, if anyone has any.

Well I would be honored to be part of a Mando clan! It would be great to have a clan that spanned continents! You might as well be the aliit'alor, as you already essentially are because you created this site!  |

Excellent! Well, ner vod, any suggestions for a clan name? And although I'd be honored to be appointed aliit'alor of our clan, I think that as long as it's just the two of us that won't be necessary. Maybe once we have more members.  |

And I don't have a fan aliit. I do however in everyday life kinda live like a mando'ad and in my way adopted as siblings a couple people who are not SW fans at all. But we share a common faith in Adoni, (which sounds more sci-fiy than saying God and its the Hebrew, and a few other languages, word for "Lord"), and desire to look out for each other. But I'd love to join this new aliit. Can I make the aliit(symbol),( right they are the same word?) once one is designed, by make I mean take the design and use Illustrator to make it. Computer Art major, so I like doing these things. |

Oh, and I should add that you being aliit'alor makes sense to me. Name ideas- Mirshe,  no... hmmm... well clans usually go by the last name of the family Nau'ur Aliit.... But if you don't want to use that I have a host of names from many languages we can use... Eleora - God is Light Skyhawk - One who flies the skies Arya -Faithful/friend Lakota - Friend Aryalakota -Faithful Friend Naomi - Pleasant, Beauty, Delight Keylee - Beautiful Warrior erg, don't have my list on me, if you want more suggestions from that list it'll have to wait. Or use Mando'a burc'ya - Friend Kih'burc'ye - Small Friends Prudii - Shadow Ou, just found Aliik is the symbol.... right . |

Yes, aliik is symbol, and I think it would be great for you to go ahead and design it! And I'll let you members decide if you really think I should be aliit'alor. I think that as long as we are small it probably won't be necessary to have an official aliit'alor as I would hope we would all be able to agree on whatever decisions need to be made such as picking a clan name and suggestions for the aliik. I really like the names you've come up with, though. I would really love to have more input from anyone else interested in joining before a final decision is made, though but that doesn't mean we can't come up with suggestions or go over the ones you have. |

Very cool. When I write I usually don't think of meanings for names, I just find and use names I think sound cool heh. I do that some times too, but then I look up the meanings cause I get curious, and sometimes I make up names that don't exist and give them meanings. Tranol - meaning one who loves horses in the unnamed Dem language. I have him in this story www.amazon.com/dp/B004CFB7WO . Though he only has a brief line. |

Making up names is also fun. Sometimes I'll do that, depending on the story.
